We offer Special Event Classes, Guest Teacher and Advanced Workshops. We invite local and international instructors who are amazing at what they do and we bring them to you! Space is limited, let us know in advance if you are interested in a particular workshop!

Trust vs. Stuck | The Pelvic Floor

This workshop is a hip opening journey. We will work all around the pelvic region, finding stuck places in our hips and opening them up with a strong standing sequence and some juicy hip openers. Let’s create space in areas that are stuck, re-claim what is yours, and explore the vast beauty of feeling steady and secure in your own body.

This workshop is designed to access deep and hidden places in your core and back. We will work with the core, the diaphragm and the psoas to dive into the unknown. About the Workshops:

Delve into your practice with a sweaty 2 hour session of Forrest Yoga! We will move into the postures with deep breath and focus. Come and enjoy getting to know yourself and what your body and mind are capable of.

About Forrest Yoga:

In Forrest Yoga the poses are held longer to make you stronger. The practice takes place in a warm room with focus on the emotional connection to the body. Forrest Yoga developed by Ana Forrest is a modern approach to an ancient system. Based on the idea of Hatha Yoga, Forrest provides a yoga practice that is anatomically safe for everyone. About Chantal:

Chantal is a certified Forrest Yoga teacher and assists Ana Forrest occasionally at her teacher trainings and workshops. She has completed the Foundational and the Advanced training with her and is grateful to have found a system that allows her to grow as a teacher. “My style is to teach authentically with some fun. I have strong classes that make you work in a healthy and safe way. I assist my students frequently and adjust the class to their individual needs, especially when working with an injury.” Chantal has been regularly practicing various styles of yoga for over 9 years and is a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner.

A non-native New Yorker Chantal was born in Zurich, raised in the Swiss Mountains and grew up in New York City.

Yoga has saved her life on more than one occasion. Through and with the practice and the teaching of yoga she has found peace within. Having struggled with depression, addiction and not feeling good enough she says; “Yoga makes me understand, makes me breathe, and makes me grow.” She currently lives and teaches in Zurich, Switzerland.

Sonja has been practicing yoga for over 40 years and has never taught in her home country, this will be such a beautiful experience for her and all of the students involved, we honestly can not wait!!

Born in Switzerland, Sonja was introduced to yoga nearly 41 years ago on a visit to England. Inspired, she found a deeper awareness for life and started her own yoga practice several years later. A student of many inspirational teachers who instilled in her the love of different aspects of yoga, she experienced a deeper compassion a belief in herself for the first time in her life. She found a doorway to her soul that opened the love and strength in her body to become an inspirational teacher herself.

In her vinyasa flow classes Sonja’s intention is to both challenge and guide her students, encouraging flexibility, strength and alignment in their bodies and in all aspects of their yoga practice. Her goal is to support her students on their own journeys towards peace, acceptance, compassion, contentment and a deeper awareness, connecting body, mind and spirit.

Natalie Sheets, Prana Flow Yoga Teacher

We are very happy to introduce you to Natalie! Natalie taught for us in March 2015 and had a sold out workshop with rave reviews!! We can not wait until she comes back!!!

Natalie discovered yoga while attending a small private college in 2003 and it has since become an integral part of her life. She completed her Prana Flow® 200 hour training with Maria Garre in May 2010 in Frederick, MD. In addition, she has over 200 hours of training in Shiva Rea’s Samudra School of Living Yoga, and has expanded her training and career path towards Pre/Post Natal training. After attending a week-long session with Shiva Rea in Los Angeles for Pre/Post Natal training in April of 2010, Natalie decided to take her teaching in the direction of mamas-to-be and new mamas.  She currently teaches all levels, mommy and me, toddler yoga, and prenatal classes and offers private sessions. In March of 2014 she completed her 85 hour Yoga Alliance Prenatal Training with Carole Westerman of Lotus House of Yoga in Omaha, Nebraska. In all of her classes, Natalie is always encouraging her students to listen to their bodies, and to move with the flow of what their bodies and minds need while not comparing to others.

She is a long time resident of Frederick, Maryland, USA, with a love of cooking and gardening. Most importantly, she loves being a mama to her growing toddler, Beatrice, and infant, Elon. Yoga has helped bring balance and steadiness into Natalie‘s mind and life and she hopes to pass that along to her students: young and old!
